Tips: Water Ring Vacuum Pump Troubleshooting

  • Poor vacuum performance. Ensure that there is a sufficient and continuous supply of clean water to the pump. Insufficient water supply can result in reduced pump performance. Verify that the seal water is properly flowing and at the correct pressure. Inadequate seal water can affect the formation of the water ring inside the pump and reduce its performance.
  • Cavitation. Cavitation occurs when air or gas bubbles form in the water ring, leading to pump performance issues. Inspect impeller and casing.Cavitation can cause damage to the impeller and casing. Inspect them for any signs of wear or damage and replace if necessary.
  • Leakage. Checking seals and gaskets, inspect the seals and gaskets for any signs of wear, damage, or misalignment.Replace them if needed.
