Delivery date: 6-25 days

Note: The microwave presence sensor continuously detects human presence within the detection area and turns off the load after the person leaves and the preset delay expires.

The microwave presence sensor provides automatic lighting control by reliably detecting movement. It analyzes the environment using microwave technology and seamlessly activates the lights only when needed, ensuring both convenience and energy efficiency.

Feature

  • High Sensitivity: The microwave pressure transmitter sensor accurately discriminates between biological and non-biological movement, significantly reducing the rate of false alarms.
  • Strong Anti-interference: Operating at 5.8GHz, the microwave pressure transducer sensor is minimally affected by external environmental factors, guaranteeing stable and reliable performance.
  • Auto Light Detection: The microwave presence sensor automatically assesses ambient light intensity, turning the light on only when necessary and when presence is detected.
  • Full Automation: This microwave pressure transmitter offers fully automatic sensing ("On with presence, off after leave"), promoting safety and energy efficiency without being influenced by sound or other objects.
  • Easy Configuration: A DIP switch with oxidation-resistant contacts allows for precise, convenient setting adjustments with minimal error and a long operational lifespan.
  • High-Power Terminal: Equipped with 16A terminals that support wires up to 4mm², enabling simple, secure connections and reduced heat generation.

Tip 1: How to Use and Test Microwave Presence Sensor?

Instructions for Use

(Ceiling-mounted installation, with settings: 100% detection range, 30‑second delay, light‑sensing disabled)

  1. Install the microwave presence sensor on the ceiling at a height of 3 meters, ensuring the antenna faces horizontally downward.
  2. Turn the power switch on once.
  3. The microwave pressure transmitter enters its startup self‑test phase: the connected light will stay at 100% brightness for about 15–30 seconds, then gradually dim to 0%.
  4. Next, the microwave pressure transmitter sensor begins environment detection: the light remains off (0% brightness) for approximately 15–30 seconds.
  5. The microwave pressure transducer sensor then enters the intelligent control phase. When a person enters the detection zone (typically 5–8 meters in radius), the light turns on at 100% brightness and remains on as long as motion continues. After the zone is vacant for 30 seconds, the light automatically dims to 0%.
  6. Following a brief 3‑second interval, if motion is detected again, the light immediately returns to 100% brightness and will turn off 30 seconds after the area is empty.

Testing Method

  1. During testing (especially when the prototype is placed on a table with the sensor antenna facing upward), a person must stay at least 1 meter away from the microwave presence sensor antenna.
  2. After the light turns off, the presence sensor requires at least a 3-second interval before it can be triggered again.
  3. During testing, try to eliminate external interference, such as movement behind walls, operating machinery, or low-frequency resonance, to prevent false triggers or misjudgments.
  4. Before setting the DIP switch parameters, the power to the microwave presence sensor must be turned off. After completing the settings, restore power to the sensor.

Tip 2: Common Fault Diagnosis and Troubleshooting

Fault Phenomenon Cause Solution
Switch does not work (light off)    Incorrect light-control setting or ambient light too high Turn off power, adjust light-control, reset
Load lamp faulty Replace lamp
Power switch off or no power Turn on power, check supply
Microwave presence sensor distance too low or movement too small Adjust sensor distance/amplitude, restart
Switch always works (light always on)  Continuous movement in sensor area Stop movement, then restart
Electromagnetic interference from nearby machinery Check installation environment
