Tips: Difference between Linear DC power supply and switching power supply

  1. The linear power supply has many advantages of good accuracy, small ripple, good adjustment rate and low external interference. It is suitable for many occasions.
  2. The size of the switching power supply is smaller than the linear power supply, but the switching power supply has the problem of pollution to the power grid and radiation interference.
  3. The switching power supply is not suitable for continuous and adjustable occasions with 0 volt starting when outputting high voltage and large current, but it is suitable for occasions where fixed output or relatively fixed output does not require much radiation interference.
  4. The linear power supply is relatively easy to maintain. However, the switching power supply has a certain degree of difficulty in maintenance due to its dense components.
